Why do you want to remove the chloride? Is the water saline or high TDS? Of course that change would likely have a significant effect on the distributed water stability, corrosion, pH, indices, and interaction with pipes and biofilms. Suggest first piloting in simulated or isolated systems.

Calcium chloride hydrolyzes on the acid side, bicarbonate is basic. You could be heading for trouble.

I have excess of Chloride because I previously dosed Ca2+ with CaCl2. But the main goal is to dose bicarbonate.
