Net Annual Change in the Surface Storage

Published by in Academic

A 400 hectares sub-catchment receives 1100 mm annual rainfall and generates 600 m3 of average daily runoff from the sub-catchment.

If there is no water flow into the sub-catchment, what would be the net annual change in the surface storage, considering evapotranspiration and infiltration as 42% and 36% of precipitation?

since 10000 m^(2 )=1 HA ; ...

since 10000 m^(2 )=1 HA ;
(400*10000)*thus*area in m^2;
                            4000000
area*times*length = volume;
                   area times length = volume
(4*10^6*1.1)*total*annual*volume;
                                     6
                         4.4000000 10
considering*percentage*loses and adding*up;
           considering percentage loses and adding up
36*loss*thats*total*percentage+42;
                               78
4.4*(1-.78)*10^6*what*is*left in the*bodie;
                                      5
                         9.68000000 10
total*annual*loss*of*run*off;
(600*365.25)*what*is*lost in cubic*meters;
                                     5
                         2.1915000 10
(9.68-2.1915)*10^5*what*is*left;
                                      5
                        7.488500000 10
` answer is 7.4885*10`^5*m^3;
