Adding more mixing to pull ...

Adding more mixing to pull the scum out of the corners has worked, and not worked, for getting the scum to mix and digest. We have worked with the problem when added mixing and sprayers do not work. Usually the problem are the slime forming bacteria (Myxomycetes - Class of organisms; the true slime molds) that hold themselves together and on the walls and corners of the tanks and pipes. That slime layer has been a problem in many industries. Getting under the slime and breaking the glue is the answer to many of these problems. We have developed a product that helps break the polysaccharide layers that is the bonding agent. Low dosages do the trick, and the dosage may be used when problems are observed. About one half dosage has been used to prevent this problem.

The traditional idea that all life must be either be plant or animal was rejected when biologists first encountered the slime molds. The creeping somatic phase of the slime molds is definitely animal like in it's structure and physiology; the reproductive structures, however, are plant-like, producing spores covered by definite walls.
