Using bioaugmentation ...

Using bioaugmentation products as a preventive maintenance program for keeping sewer pipe clean is a very efficient and cost effective plan.  Bioaugmentation will break down the sludge, biofilm, and other organic matter in the pipe system into carbon dioxide and water.  Biofilms often act like cement does in concrete, binding aggregates together to form a structure.  Removing these biofilms allows the aggregates to be forced out and reduce resistance to flow.  Microbial Discovery Group is a direct manufacturer of Bacillus bacteria used in wastewater bioaugmentation products.  I can provide a formal case study to you if you provide your email.  Using bioaugmentation can drastically reduce the number of times that jetting is required.  Usually 2 or 3 out of 4 jettings are eliminated.  Our case study even documents how struvite was removed from force mains over a mile long.
