We are a producer of sludge dryers. According with our experience we can say that in the norther part of Italy the WWTP disidrate the sludge and send them to composting process and after to fields (cost 100 €/ton). The compost company prefer a dry sludge with 70% of DM. In the south of Italy the WWTP send the sludge to landfill. in Austria and Germany often the sludge is burned.
