If it is only 600 litre you can start with a very simple Build It Your Own Sequencing Batch Reactor. (SBR). Just a small tank and pump air in it. Sludge will grow spontaneously or you can start with some seed sludge. After let's say 4 - 8 hours of air injection you can let the sludge sink and settle. Once the top layer is free from solid particles you can remove the upper 25 - 30 % of your tank This is the cleaned effluent and start the process again. This rotation can be automated with some time switches. Additionally you can add a dissolved oxygen meter. Once the oxygen level is steeply rising, the bacteria don't need oxygen because all the organic matter is consumed. At this tiome you can stop the air injection and start the setteling fase.
