We have a first-hand experience of treating yeast manufacturing water, but in our case, the COD is around 60000 and BOD 40000. We are using two-stage UASB with COD removal efficiency of around 80-90% followed by Lamella( Sludge generation is as high as 30-40%), Followed by activated sludge process. We get COD of around 5000 or lower, which is than passed through NANO Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, SWRO and Multi Effect evaporator.
