I think you can apply UV as disinfection, but it will work on three season only. Make sure that you have large capacity for hold water and controlling it. This lead to enough storm water management within the process. Monitoring of industries within or that are discharging into the system. All spillages (Oils, Chemicals and etc.) are monitored in terms of accident within your area.

hi Hans. my goodness, fish farming. use a biocleaner. so much easier to use and you can reuse it for fish farming. no need to doodle around with anything.

I recommend a case by case approach considering water quality, species, climate, nature of hatchery / grow-out operation (e.g., degree of recirulation, water supply, etc.). I favour biological treatment that generates biomass that can be used at the facility, preferably to reduce feed costs, improve sustainability, etc.. There is a need to design an aquacuture specific treatment system to suit the site characteristics. If recirculation is involved, the sensitivity of the product becomes a major / key design criteria. I worked on a biological purification treatment of wastewater project for an agricultural college . The person in charge of sanitation of the school demanded strict enforcement of compliance with wastewater by removing any chemical cleaner. The water discharge at the outlet of the treatment device , biological, was sent to a pond filled with carps. the only problem was from forming large quantities of surface green vase .
