Buffer Zone Guideline for Rivers, Wetlands and Estuaries Good day I recently saw an article posted on the network about research in non-point source pollution. I thought there may be some interest in some research we recently completed. We developed guidelines for determining appropriate buffer zones for rivers, wetlands and estuaries to mitigate diffuse surface runoff (i.e. non-point source pollution) from adjacent or upstream developments or changes in land use. The focus of the project was to promote more effective water resource management through the development of practical guidelines for determining appropriate buffer zones for rivers, wetlands and estuaries.
