Fabian, only too true. We were most concerned with house flies on defecation in the open. Now we spray and our product acts as a deterrent and kills fly eggs. The smallest fecal matter transferred to human food will cause loss of body fluids. I forgot to disinfect my hands working in the slums and ended up 4 days on an IV in hospital. Here in Ghana the storm drain is often used as a toilet - there is simply no sanitation for hundreds of thousands that come to the capital (urbanization) in the hope for a better life. Danke Peter! Grüße sind angekommen!
Actually armies in North Africa lost a lot of people through this vectors: Flies going from loo to food. A simple shovel full of sand would have done the trick.
Ghana must be wonderful, wasnt much in that region, just to Burkina Faso ones. Let me make a map so I understand the population and water situation. Also would love to establish a biological water monitoring system there. Best Fabian
PS: I made a book on water in Kenya, you can download a free PDF here. Hope you enjoy.
