Is this for treating groundwater? We can successfully 'bind' arsenic in mine water with a 99% success rate. Our product is relatively cheap and can be used in a passive flow filter bed.

As Derek mentioned, the species of As matters if you are opting to use conventional treatment methods. Commonly the use of Greensand regenerated with KMNO4 (+ small amount of chlorine up stream) will oxidize As III to As V (RO works better on As V than it does As III) so post treatment with RO to remove the As V is likely required.

The technology for removal depends on the species of As you want to remove. As III (the un-oxidized version) requires different technology than As V. Most larger volumes applications oxidize the As to V using chlorine prior to treatment. The need to oxidize is generally determined by whether you are treating a using a large central system for distribution to multiple houses or whether treatment is for a single home or point of use?

You may consider using Activated Alumina, which is effective for arsenic removal and for fluoride. It can also be regenerated quite easily as well.
