On 27 June 2018, the SMART.MET project launched its request for tenders, a chance for European companies to submit their offers for the development of cutting-edge technology for #SmartWaterMetering. Funded under the Horizon 2020 research programme, with an budget of €3,240,000, the SMART.MET project aims to promote demand-driven research into the development of new innovative smart meter solutions that fully cater to the needs of water utilities. The Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) will allow the procedure to be directed to specific needs, encourage the development of a high quality product and open new markets for companies. Between 2018 and 2021, the PCP will include three phases: solution exploration and design, prototyping and field-testing. Read more on the project’s website: http://smart-met.eu.
