Skill Council for Green Jobs has been mandated by G overnment of India for providing skilled and certified manpower in Water Management Sector. Water Management consist of Sewage Treatments, Effluent Treatment, Harvesting, Conservation and Re-Use of Water. Water Management also consist of use of water for micro irrigation purpose. (To know more about Skill Council for Green Jobs visit: www.sscgj.in) Skill Council for Green Jobs has being set under Skill India Mission, and has recently developed two Qualification Packs as per industry requirements – ·         Wastewater Treatment Plant Technician (SGJ/Q6601) ·         Wastewater Treatment Plant Helper (SGJ/Q6602) A Wastewater Treatment Plant Technician specializes in operation and maintenance of Industrial and housing Societies Wastewater Treatment Plant. Any person who is 12th pass or ITI or 8th Pass with 4 years’ experience as a helper in wastewater treatment plant can be certified after a training course of 200 hours provided by the training partners affiliated by SCGJ. A Wastewater Treatment Plant Helper assists in operation and maintenance of Industrial and housing Societies Wastewater Treatment Plant. Any person who is 8th pass can be certified as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Helper after a training course of 160 hours provided by the training partners affiliated by SCGJ.
