Take a look at Great Plains Instruments. They have small battery powered flow meters that will probably do what you want. One example from their web site below. No affiliation, but I have used their products a couple of times.

Hi Maeve,
most of the times, the hose is connected to a tap which can be measured. Maybe more direct way is to stop all water usage, read your meter, start cleaning and afterwards read the meter again. Or are you trying to determine the capacity used by your hose?

Hi Maeve, that is quitte challenging. What are the diameters? A quick google-action has led to this company (in Dutch or French) which uses ultrasonic sound to measure flow.

Monitoring from a distance is very expensive! Maybe consider a local logger which you can extract the data?

Thanks vincent de Laat - I'm looking for something I can remotely monitor.
