GIS/Spatial systems should be usable for all professionals from geoscientistss, to accountants to medial staff i.e. GIS is becoming mainstream. There are a lot of job positions, accountant, marketing, bus. manager with GIS skills required. The marketing guys should be doing GIS analysis for their field, the same for hydrologist etc. I think the focus has changed from the GIS professional from being an analyst to a GIS-database support person. GIS support staff need strong database, IT and programming skills.
