Preamble Outreach Scout Foundation (OSF) direction in Malawi is based on and stems from the Partnership Vision, Mission, Core Values and culture that will permit the achievement of Transformational Development focussed on rights of the Child, good governance, and social justice, HIV and AIDS and public health in the program area. A deliberate focus is on partnerships to strengthen or enhance the relationship between OSF and all other partners. Registration Outreach Scout Foundation (OSF) is a local non-governmental organization established in 2002 but registered in 2004 under the government of Malawi Trustee’s Incorporation Act 1962. The organization is also registered with the Council for Non -Governmental Organization in Malawi (CONGOMA) Our Vision Malawi with well empowered young women and men in development Our Mission OSF exists to provide optimal framework condition to vulnerable young women and men in rural communities through promoting SRHR, Child protection/ Rights of Children, human rights, environmental protection, Social Justice, Good Governance, HIV/AIDS prevention through community participation. Objectives OSF seeks to address challenges that are faced by young women and men in Malawi through the following specific objectives; • To improve and promote awareness on child and human rights in all and across the country, strengthening and establishment of child protection committees in rural and urban communities. • To promote agriculture and food security in indentified areas while also making sure that a voice of a young farmer is heard • Facilitate and support the enforcement of good health and environment management practices • To join other civil society organizations in the promotion of good governance and human rights Our priority areas of intervention • Child Rights and Protection. • PMTCT and Public Health • Environment management • Agriculture and Food Security • Rural water supply and sanitation OSF experience in project/ programme implementation  Women empowerment to reduce Child abuse project 2012 to 2015  Reduction of HIV transmission PMTCT 2014 -2016  OSF implemented environmental protection amongst women who brewing beer using tyres as the energy sources in the Group Village Heads Kalumba, Mtsinje, Gaga in Lilongwe City 2012-2013.  OSF implementing disability Young people participation the local governance 2009, 2014 in Mangochi,Lilongwe districts.  OSF implemented a project with funds from Canada Fund Malawi for the Improving access to clean safe water and food security project in Group Village Heads Nyama, Waya 1, 2, Samu and Mando in the Traditional Authority Mazengera in Lilongwe rural 2004 to 2006. OSF has also initiated several self-help community development initiatives to improve their livelihood status. The mission statement behind the operation of OSF is the provision of optimal framework condition to vulnerable youth and rural communities through environmental protection, agriculture and food security human and children rights.
