1. Do you have any access to an Electrical Engineering friend or University Professor? Try them for free professional help
2. Or search for Electrical Engineering Certified contractors. They can study your system and give you an offer for upgrading the control system.
3. From your post it seems that you need to revamp the old Motor Control Centre. With a booming oil Industry I am sure that there should be available good MCC manufacturers specially in the Port Harcourt area. Lagos also. Maybe Kaduna too. Talk to these manufacturers who can use components of any reputed make such as ABB / Siemens / Toshiba / Mitsubishi etc.
4. Post a list of drives with Motor HP. Maybe I could ask some friend to help you out.

Thanks a lot for your help, in terms of electrical engineering I don't have any contacts unfortunately, I'm on the hydraulic side of things. The pumps involved are the following.
1 x SQ5-70 – P2: 1.85kW - 1 x 200-240 V 50 Hz - Operating at 1.6kW
3 x SP11-15 – P2: 3kW Three-phase, 3 x 220-230 V 50 Hz / 3 x 380-400-415V 50 Hz – Operating at 2.8kW
1 x SP14-11 – P2: 3kW Three-phase, 3 x 220-230 V 50 Hz / 3 x 380-400-415 V 50 Hz – Operating at 2.6kW
6 x SP60-10 – P2: 18.5 kW Three-phase, 3 x 230 V / 3 x 400 V – Operating at 16.6kW
Ideally I'd like to understand rather than having the answer, so if you have a recommended link which explains the different protections and how to size them it would be great. My internet research has for the most part been confusing...
