I would suggest that you rework the entire process requirements and then work out the capacity requirements of the electro-mechanicals system afresh. It is wiser to provide electrical system with Earthing , MCBs and also check if there is any additional protection from provision of a transformer to stabilise Voltage if there is too high fluctuation in supply voltage.. May also study if Solar penal based generation with battery storage could curb any drop in Voltage.

Thanks for your comments. Regarding the solar I have found that "complicated" electronics tend to become problematic in more remote areas without expertise and maintenance, so I probably wouldn't go for that.

When you say process requirements, I assume that you mean operating/start-up powers of the various pumps. This is known, so the electrical supply shouldn't be a problem, the main issue is protection, which remains a bit black magic to me ;-) Thanks for your input
