Yes, the activated sludge in the wastewater treatment plant a good option, and about 300-400 ppm is better for metabolism more than this it is toxic. For safe limit after treatment, The maximum limit of biogenic amines generally considered to be safe for consumers is 10 mg/ L.However ,Fenton’s treatment would require a large amount of reagents to achieve complete degradation, coupling of this process with biological oxidation may be carried out. Partially degraded DEA can prepare by the Fenton’s process. can be partially degraded by the Fenton’s method without excessive consumption of reagents that would, in contrast, be required for complete degradation .

Dear Prem Baboo,
1.The 300-400 ppm is your experience?
2.we test in the Lab. , add the DEA and MDEA in the wastewater , and treat by activated sludge. although the DEA and MDEA reduced, but the concentration of DEA and MDEA is not equal to the TKN , while we try to calculation the balance of N.
