Vacuum is will must not given impact to the temperature, it's just reduce the pressure and must makes decrease of of boiling point. It's look like required of the HE/Cooler to reduce your target temperature .

The system was working under the same conditions. But suddenly temperature become very high and can't be lowered using vacuum.
