Simply stop the pump and remove discharge lines. If U donot like to remove connect the pump dosage with on Line PH metre. As soon as the Ph shall drop yr pump shall start dosing. we R using the same system at our Sui Gas Field Gas Purification " Water Cooling Towers " to maintain Ph of the system as per recommendation of our water treatment Company M/s NALCO.

Ilyas, the H&S reg are so strict that it is deemed not safe to remove discharge line every year. We have multiple PH meter on several places and PH is very maintained throughout the year. It is in winter when water become pristine and coagulation caused high PH. Please note that we cannot drop coagualtion to very minimum. Therefore Sulphuric acid dosing only required in winter period.

It is more about safe maintability then any other thing.
