Usually membrane technology can help to resolve this problem. If NF or RO needs to be used, maybe with UF as pre-treatment, depends on the kind of components in this wastewater. So as first, beside the specification of the volume to be treated, a reliable analysis is necessary that needs to address all dissolved components, pH, temperature and electrical conductivity. Based on this information the solution has to be developed step by step, maybe leading to a zero liquid discharge (ZLD) process that allows to recover valuable components and clean water contributing thus to create an added value and avoid further pollution.
