Fully agree with lyseconcept jean Marius in all terms. On the other hand if you do have a reason to remove remaining micorbiological factors from RO effulent, or any effluent, the most efficient (kill all) type solution is application of ozone. If you want an economic and effective solution and your target is disinfection but sterilization, application of UV is the answer. Of course, there are plenty of criteria you need to check (or have them checked by experts). Both technologies are advantageous: there are no need of extra chemicals applied, practically no harmful by-products are produced, these solutions deliver good efficiency and also the economics are good.
