Hi, Matthias.

My colleagues and I have developed a system for developing countries in Asia and Australia.

It involves a solar driven 12V DC pump, mechanical disinfection, activated media filtration to remove various loads in groundwater such as Iron, Manganese, and Arsenic.

 The filter media and mechanical disinfection device will last the lifetime of the filtration system with no maintenance required or need for a replacement of these components. The filter media is manufactured using recycled glass as a raw material, it can then be recycled at the end of the filtration system's life.
