As you probably know, do the reading and work any practice questions. The exams are made easy by putting in the effort. Make your own flash cards. In Florida, look up the Florida Rural Water Association and take their classes. Self-study through CSUSAC Office of Water Programs is also good, and inexpensive, offering water treatment, water distribution and wastewater courses.
Dale, I have studied for and passed four license exams in the State of Michigan.
My stratigy has been to make the provided study guide from the State into a detailed outline for the various topics using the Sacramento Water Treatment 1 & 2 books. Taking the time to find the information to make the outline has proven to be helpful for myself.
Flashcards have also been in my tool kit.
Practice questions from AWWA publications have been very helpful too and they somewhat recently have made an App for studying for license exams.
If I am having trouble understanding a concept (let’s day the break point chlorination curve, for example) I have found a YouTube search can be helpful too.
The best classes i have seen and taken are from CSUS in Sacramento, Ca.
They have an assortment of classes that can be done online. what you want here is the Ken Kerry courses. They are very reasonable cost wise and very thorough. Good luck.
