It really starts with meter reading. Do you have a master meter on the intake and on the outlet side? Do you have meters on all of your connections. Do you have smart meters? If yes, how many? The entire system or just a few?
By accurately reading the meters you track the water flow giving you a precise picture of your system. You can set up a baseline to to gauge the water system demand. The meters will do most of the work for you, especially if you have smart meters.
