Your water is OK for this application but it needs some corrosion inhibitor added proportionately to the makeup.  We treat a factory with vaccume pumps that use water to seal the pumps, these are 100 HP units in banks of 6 in a foundry.  Since we started using the inhibitor the seal failures have dropped to 1/10th of what was previously experienced.  Note that not any inhibitor will do this.  We have formulated closed loop inhibitors for heavy duty industrial use and have them in service for 20 years.
