There is money to be made with pig poop. Anaerobic digestion with combined heat and power recovery. Take the waste from anaerobic digestion separate the solids, solids to drying beds and liquid to storage. Both liquid and solids can be used for fertilizer, if used with care.

I agree with you mark, however application of solid manure waste might lead to serious groundwater pollution especially when it's available very shall. You have to develop a method to make it working as slow releasing fertilisers, the second issue what about the social acceptance of utilisation the pigs waste in agriculture
