Wastewater Treatment Suggestion

Published by

I'm doing R&D work for one effluent.

It has inlet parameters:

I want outlet parameters:

What kind of treatment do I have to use?  Please give me your important suggestions.
Give suggestions for the primary treatment, secondary treatment and tertiary treatment.

Multiple-effect evaporator (MEE) and evaporation are not possible.

Hi Daxesh - quite an effluent ...

Hi Daxesh - quite an effluent you have there.  I agree with most of what has been proposed.  Just a suggestion that you consider using crushed limestone for your main neutralisation chemical as it is considerably cheaper than lime and works well to increase the pH up to around 6.5.  Also you will need an aeration stage after anaerobic digestion to nitrify the ammonias.   If you need to remove the resultant nitrates, you will need an additional anoxic step. Your final effluent is still a nasty in terms of TDS and COD - please dispose of it responsibly.

In this case, there is no requirement for desalination. The treatment target is to remove the 90% soluble COD and adjust pH.

The best process would be anaerobic process, which can removal COD by more than 90% easily. Depends on the raw flow rate, liquid temperature, available nutrients and footprint availability that can select anaerobic pond, UASB, or any other kind of anaerobic process. However, before the anaerobic process, sufficient alkalinity should be added to adjust and buffer the pH.

Dear Daxesh,  Your effluent ...

Dear Daxesh,

Your effluent is highly polluted, no doubt! Could you also share if there is any iron content?

My email is nandpurohit@gmail.com..... Perhaps, we can together work out a solution which may be optimal.

Your water so acidic, has ...

Your water so acidic, has high tds,NH3-N, BOD and COD. My experiences for this quality watet is UASB with Fixed Bioremediation control the PH at 6,5 - 7.0 to favor with aceto bacteria and Methanogen bacteria to produce Methane gas and Nitrogen  gas. The removal of COD will reach for 90%-95%, the effluent will must be continued into aerobic digester and the COD will in low level 30-50 ppm.

when i reach to effluent  pH 6-7 at that time my TDS level is around 28000 to 29000 mg/L . so at that concentration my Anaerobic biological treatment work successfully?

Sir.......we have very ...

Sir.......we have very successfully treated effluent from WWTPs in several major cities. We have full engineers reports that could be forwarded. Our product is a 100% fully organic, biodegradable biological enhancer. You would exceed the parameters that you wish for in just about 6 to 8 weeks of use of such solution.  It is extremely simple to use and requires very little equipment.

We have reports from India, Australia, New Zealand, China, U.S.A. and Ireland on the successful use of this product.  Solutek.

See brochures.

cheapest way is to use alkalizing bacteria.    0.5 needs to be partially jacked up to 3 or so initially.

then treat with alkalizing acidophiles.   there is enough cod here to bring up the pH over time to 8 or 9

in the commissioning of the system, you can dilute it and mix it to get to pH 7.

Hi Daxesh,
I would consider:

Neutralization, Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP), Microfiltration polishing or probably a modified Actiflo.

Dear Daxesh,

We suggest you to Neutralize your acidic effluent and maintain pH between 7-8. Add suitable coagulant and flocculent for primary treatment after conducting jar test, which will remove your COD up to 15-25%. You have to treat Primary treated effluent with Anaerobic biological treatment in digester. the digestion time may range from 3 days to 10 days. It is depend on your laboratory trial. Anaerobic treatment removes COD, BOD and ammonical nitrogen successfully. You have to install extended aeration after anaerobic digester with retention time of 3 days. Aeration effluent will charged in Secondary clarifier. Secondary clarifier outlet will pass through MGF and ACF for further Polishing treatment.

Kindly send us effluent quantity (Pick, average and lean flow) on our email climateventure4careu@gmail.com . Also send us your factory address, if it is in india. We will visit your factory and conduct all above trial at your laboratory.

Thanks

Hello the best treatment of ...

Hello the best treatment of this kind of problem is the on-site treatment immediately to the production of wastewater.

It is enough to effect the pollution separators: everything that is biological on one side, all that is chemical on the other.

The biological is eliminated on the term course, the chemical on the long term on a suitable station

Hello Dexesh,

As per my experience following treatment's will works

Primary treatment:

Dissolved Air Flotation [DAF]

Second Treatment:

Aeration [MBBR] [1st Stage & 2 nd Stage], Clarifier [I & II]

Tertiary Treatment:

Dual Media Filter & Carbon Filter

Regarding your case you has to reduce your COD 90%, for this target is necessary get know the source of this Waste water and What is your flow?, probably you need to do jar test and maybe your solution just need DAF system.
