The river water passes through a wide water channel in the city limits to reach the pond, the channel has more bridge, intersecting the roads of 20 - 30 meter wide.
Since the river passes through the lively hood - the sludge were deposited, garbage and waste are blocking the water flow.
The blocking stuffs were removed on the open area, but could not even attempt to remove the sludge under the bridge.
We measured that the sludge deposited is about 1-2 meter high through out the 20 meter tunnel/ bridge.
Seeking the experts help, of how to remove ? - Which machinery or any other manual tools to remove the same.
Attached are the pictures for reference.
Also, please note that, removing the sludge/debris after a decade time means - allowing the river water to a 100 acre pond - Which recharges the underground water for 10,000 acres of agricultural land.
Hi, a vacuum tanker working from both sides of the bridge would be best. The water is very black looking so clearly anaerobic. There will be smell issues. Better use a tanker with dewatering capability so you only remove the solids.
Hi. If the removed matter is more bio matter.. let it dry for a few weeks and then co compost it with cow dung and bio mass ... It is a great soil additive full of nutrirnts .. good for agri farms .. well wishes ..
6500 Series end suction centrifugal pumps are based on the proven technology of Gorman-Rupp's Prime Aire and Prime Aire Plus priming-assisted pump models. The 6500 Series was designed to extend Gorman-Rupp's end suction centrifugal pump offering and to better serve applications where a suction lift is not required. A double volute mitigates shaft breakage and extends the life of the mechanical seals, wear rings and bearings, all while maintaining hydraulic efficiency, while a side access port allows for easy access to pump interior for inspection and clean out while the pusher bolt capability assists in the removal of the suction flange. Other features include:
Alloy steel shafts with stainless steel options
Dual sight gauges for bearing and seal cavities
Smart Scroll® indexable discharge location
Atmospheric vent
Oversized bearings for longer bearing life
Double volute on larger models
Solids-handing models include side access for inspection and clean out
Gorman-Rupp’s extensive line of hard-working, dependable priming assisted (dry prime) pumps will tackle everything, including clear liquids, tough solids, and slurry applications.
The Prime Aire® and Prime Aire Plus® venturi priming system offers automatic priming and repriming. For sewage bypass operations, construction site dewatering and remediation or other applications where intermittent flow can be a problem, these dependable, versatile performers help contractors move large volumes of water rapidly, even when sticks, stones, and debris would normally present a problem.
All of Gorman-Rupp’s priming-assisted (dry prime) pumps are designed and engineered for the most rugged and demanding construction applications andare backed by an industry leading two year warranty.
Like the canal restorer systems developed by John Todd, you can lay down a series of hoses on the bottom and create a fine bubble pattern of pumped air that will 'oxidize' the sludge. In about a month or so you may have resolved your problem using the aerobic microbes that develop.
