Dear All: The environmental authority in my country requires that every water capture for private use should be equipped with a water meter, whether ultrasonic, or electromagnetic. These captures are in very remote areas, with no energy or internet connection availability. These water meters should store the data of the flow in a way that can be collected every month, or even less frequently, and therefore, they must be equipped with a long life battery.
Can you refer me to a manufacturer of such products?
Interesting It is interesting that every water capture for private use should be equipped with a water meter, whether ultrasonic, or electromagnetic.
In Ecuador water belongs to the government. No one can use water from any source, river, creek, spring, without given authorization from the central authority.
I can suggest Euromag Brand of Italy or alternatively Badger meter brand from Germany. Both are good and we have been selling both these brands for years in UAE market and performance results are very good
Australia has gone through a process of setting standards for accurate metering. You can access the list of meters that have gained certification to this standard (called Pattern Approval) at:

Accurate and reliable metering is challenging; you do need technologies that can still measure accurately with untreated water and over a large range of flow disturbances. All the meters listed via the link below can meet this requirement.
The meter manufacturers offer a range of power supply solutions - and some are suited to remote locations.
It's for private consumption in rural areas without electric power and internet total over designed. There a good theoreticers in the environment environmental agency. For what they need it? Mechanicals you can also read out and sent.
If they are afraid of manipulation ? You can bypass everything.
Water Pigeon provides a cellular connected device that can mount on a mechanical meter. We image the meter up to 6 times a day and provide the reading via a dashboard for the utility's use. Our devices are battery powered and can last between 10 and 15 years depending on the frequency of reads you may require. I've attached a flyer for your review. gary@waterpigeon.com
Thank you Gary. It looks like a great solution, however there is no cellphone coverage in the area. Data should be stored in a SD card, or something like that.
The ABB Aquamaster 3 is a relatively old meter but has good storage capacity and runs off a battery. It has mobile phone connectivity too....the updated version the Aquamaster 4 can pribably do something similar but has a 10-15 year battery life although the last time I looked, which has orobably changed now, the comms module wasn't sorted.
ABB provide a battery operated EM meter and also they have an insertion probe battery operated meter. Siemens also have battery operated EM range of meters. All will have outputs to connect data loggers and also to connect to mobile phone or other comms systems. Happy to discuss
Take a look at the ABB AquaMaster range. There are battery powered options with data loggers built in. If you have any trouble locating the correct information, please don't hesitate to contact me mark@cvoinstrumentation.com
